Participate in Dr. Peter Gray’s Unschooling Research Survey

Dr. Peter Gray, whose Freedom to Learn blog is well known to many unschoolers and homeschoolers, is conducting a research survey specifically about unschooling. I’ve met and worked with Peter several times, I have reviewed this survey, and I’m comfortable disseminating it. Peter notes:

Attached here, as a Word document, is the survey.  If you are still willing, I ask you to download the document, fill it out by typing directly on it, and then email it back to me, still as a Word document.  My sincere hope is that publications resulting from this survey will produce a greater understanding of unschooling.

It would be nice if a lot of people participate in this survey. I appreciate Dr. Gray's interest in studying homeschooling and unschooling. I think the survey in line with this study would provide quite an interesting and significant outcome.

I know the survey has been done and I rejoiced in the results which were no surprise to me. We unschooled our son since he was 7. He developed in a physically and psychological ly healthy and strong young man. Where as a child he always had to defend his not going to school, now people envy him for his interesting and unusual childhood. He has many skills, is a musician and an artist and needs very little to be enormously happy. In our country in europe homeschooling is again st the law. We did it anyway. And it was worth it! No brainwashed and enslaved kids. Free them!
